Beeldwandel

An analog animation film made of kinetic light projections on Silver gelatine paper

Crowdfunding - Support the production of Falling frames and the exhibition @ Tyson - cologne
Here an update about a current project;
In december I started working on the realisation of a new video work, called ‘Falling Frames'. Unfortunately the production is set on hold as the cost overruns my budget.
I started this Crowdfunding-campagne in matter to raise the missing funds for the production and for the exhibition as wel. Maybe you want to participate?
The campaign is in dutch but you can find an english summery of the project right here:
Through a collaboration with the foundation Videopower from Maastricht I was able to develop a device which is required for the realisation of a new video-work.
My goal is to produce a single video sequence about the frame of the cameras perspective. Filmed with 240frames per second there will be 25 timber frames falling (of a hight of 15meters) into the cameras field of view.
This staged video-sequence is a research about space and how we perceive this space through the twodimensional medium video. For the presenation of this work I wil develop an installation which shall be shown in a solo exhibition in Cologne, at the art space Tyson. The work will also be displayed in the filmtheater Lumière in Maastricht and wil be programmed on the regional television channel L1.
At this state the pre-production is finished but what is missing is your support.
There are perks listed on the link, such as prints of a video-still and even a limited edition of this video work. I would be more than happy with your participation.

In the installation stairs
visitors are invited to enter a deformed staircase.
From that position perceivers can look at a broadcasted video of that
timber stair construction.
The betacam’s perspective shows an apparently normal shaped staircase
but with conversed treads.

(Enschede, www.johanneslangkamp.com)

Tetem_exhibition at the media lab
2009 I participated at the aki electronic group exposition at the Tetem, Kunstruimte Enschede.
"EXHIBITING OBJECT"
videoloop 2min.15sec.
In the work "exhibiting object" I tied a television to my bicycle to transport it to it's upcoming exhibition space. This very raw act of transport where filmed and gradually shown on exact that television.
